Hi, let's arrange a time to kick off the Event Committee and determine how it is going to work.

I would be able to meet most days except Wednesday Evenings and Sunday Evenings.

Even Wednesday Evening is negotiable. Basically I'm pretty wide open.

Hi everyone! Weekends and mornings are the best for me.

Hi. Monday evenings are often open for me, as are some Wednesday evenings. I can also sometimes do weekends, especially Sunday afternoon.

Hi. I'm available, for now, weekday evenings, Saturday days and Sunday afternoons.

Sounds like it might need to be a late Saturday morning thing? We still need to hear from Denise and there's someone I need to invite to the conversation from my pm meeting on Saturday, Maureen.

For venue, we could do it at my house, it's quiet and in Carrboro near the Open Eye.

I'll stop by if I can to say hi whenever you guys set up meetings. I just mainly wanted to say "Welcome!" to Tim, Rachel, Caroline and anyone else who shows up. :)

YAYYYYY!

Hi, Sorry it took so long to get back to you. My family has all been sick. I am fairly flexible, just having to check with my husband if he can run the girls to their lessons if it's a week night. Most weekends are good for me. However, remember, I'm heading to Ohio Thursday and will be back next Wednesday after the primary. I'll be in Canton doing whatever they need. So, you might want to meet without me to begin with and catch me up via email and I'll make the next one.

Ok, we didn't have everybody present in our first Steering meeting and it was just fine. The forums are a good place to find out what happened at the meeting. (Not that we don't want you there, Denise)

I'm pretty open as far as meeting times. Weekends are fine, and any weekday afternoon or evening, as long as I have a bit of notice.

Hiya,

I would love to be a part of this committee!

I'm an event planner/project coordinator, and pretty good at what I do (she said modestly) LOL

I'm pretty open to just about any time, but Sunday does work best!

HOpe you don't mind my jumping in--but Dave T told me to!

Look forward to meeting you all!

Jitterie

Thanks Jitterie, I only know Jitterie from emails, but she seems really on top of things based on reading her blog. She is up in Hillsborough (which is a big plus for expanding out into areas beyond CH/Carrboro) and as she says has event planning in her blood. I thought she might be a great addition. Thanks for being courageous and jumping in Jitterie! -dave

Ok, we are a go for Events at my house Sunday March 2 from noon-2pm

Some may not make it (one for sure) but we can always post here and bring people up to date.

Thanks, everyone!

Well, we actually had a really good meeting of the Event Committee, even though only Tim and Maureen could attend. Linda and I were there and we covered quite a bit of ground.
I know there's lots of flu going around. Not sure why folks missed the meeting. I'm looking for ideas on how to proceed and get everybody on the committee up to date.

We discussed setting up a new forum for the Events Committee, using the EasyBoard format. I'll look into that shortly and post here.

Matt also has been absent, I'm assuming he's another victim of the flu bug! Well, we'll get all of this sorted out.

Anybody who wants to post ideas here on how we proceed with the Events Committee. I really want to get it to where Tim just runs with it, but that's tough if he only knows one member!

Hi everyone!
I went by the Mebane flea martket yesterday but didnt get a chance to talk to anyone. As Linda said at the events committee last Sunday, it is a Latino dominated flea market. I will check and see if we can get permission to set a table their on a busy weekend. Hopefully we will find some volunteers that can speak Spanish to man the table. If we cant, we should still set up a table and register as many people as possible. Hillary had a big advantage with Latino's in Texas and we should put Obama's name in front of as many Latino's as possible. Suggestions???
